Social contact is a pair of social actions with no further consequence - i.e. it is not likely to be repeated. It can sometimes be described as an accidental social interaction. An example would be a failed and not-repeated attempt to start a conversation.
Social Contact can also be refferred to when a person is having a conversation with many people at many different times. i.e. they are very social, meaning around around people.
In sociological hierarchy, social contact is considered to be in between less advanced social action and more advanced social interaction.
